Restarting cPanel Services

Services on a cPanel server should ALWAYS be restarted using the default cPanel scripts.

Restarting cPanel Service:

/scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd

Web Server (apache/litespeed) :

/scripts/restartsrv_httpd

IMAP service (dovecot) :

/scripts/restartsrv_imap

FTP service :

/scripts/restartsrv_ftpd

EXIM service (SMTP) :

/scripts/restartsrv_exim

Dovecot (IMAP, POP, SMTP Authentication) :

/scripts/restartsrv_dovecot

SSH Server / Daemon :

/scripts/restartsrv_sshd

MYSQL (Use extreme caution) :

/scripts/restartsrv_mysql

BIND (Dns Server and Resolver) :

/scripts/restartsrv_bind

Cron Daemon: Scheduling and task execution :

/scripts/restartsrv_crond
